How do I select the right servo motor or stepper motor?

Pick based on load, speed, accuracy, duty cycle, and the fieldbus your controller talks. Servo for dynamic moves with closed-loop feedback, stepper for cost-down positioning where you do not need feedback. Call us with the move profile and we will spec the motor, drive, and controller together.

What is the difference between servo motors and stepper motors?

Servos are closed-loop with feedback — they hold position under load, handle high speed, and recover from disturbances. Steppers are open-loop, cheaper, and excel at low-speed positioning where you can budget the torque margin upfront. Trade-off: cost versus dynamic performance.
