Sensors, machine safety, and RFID, from a family-owned German maker
Featured Products

Photoelectronic Sensors
The biggest part of the catalog, close to a thousand models. Reflex, retro-reflex, through-beam, fork, fiber-optic, color, contrast, and laser distance sensors in ToF and triangulation. If something on the line needs counting, measuring, or telling apart by color, there is a Wenglor head for it.
Key Specifications:
- Range: up to about 100 m on long-range laser distance models
- Switching frequency: up to 50 kHz
- Protection: IP20 to IP69K, WashDown and Hygiene versions

Ultrasonic Sensors
Sound does not care what color the target is. Clear bottles, black rubber, shiny foil, and a cloud of dust or mist all read the same. Distance sensors, through-beam pairs, and a fork sensor for label detection.
Key Specifications:
- Range: 300 to 6,000 mm (UMS series)
- IO-Link: on every distance model
- Fork sensor: U3HJ, 3 mm slot for labels

Inductive Sensors
Metal detection with nothing to wear out. The weproTec line covers housings from 3 mm up to M30, plus full-metal bodies, weld-field resistant models, correction-factor-1 models, and a high-temperature head for ovens.
Key Specifications:
- Switching distance: up to 50 mm
- Housings: Ø3 mm to M30, plus rectangular
- Protection: IP67, IP68, IP69K

Fluid Sensors
Pressure, flow, temperature, and level in one family. weFlux² handles most jobs, UniBar goes to higher pressure, and there are EHEDG and FDA-compliant versions for food and pharma lines. Pairs well with a LeakMaster tester on a test stand.
Key Specifications:
- Pressure: -1 to 400 bar (weFlux²), to 600 bar (UniBar)
- Temperature: -50 to 150 °C
- Flow: 10 to 400 cm/s

Safety Technology
Light curtains for fingers and hands, light arrays for bodies, plus safety switches, guard locks, e-stops, and safety relays. The curtains set up over IO-Link with Wenglor's free wTeach2 software, which beats DIP switches on a ladder.
Key Specifications:
- Rating: Type 4 (EN 61496), PL e (EN ISO 13849-1)
- Resolution: 14 mm finger, 30 mm hand
- Field heights: 12 sizes, 159 to 1,812 mm

Industrial RFID
HF readers in M18, M30, and cube housings. Put a tag on a pallet or workpiece carrier and the station knows what just arrived, even through dirt that would blind a barcode reader. IO-Link out, so it lands on the same master as the rest of your sensors.
Key Specifications:
- Frequency: 13.56 MHz (HF)
- Read range: up to 78 mm depending on housing
- Housings: R18A (M18), R30A (M30), R1QA cube
About Wenglor
Wenglor has made sensors in Tettnang, Germany, since 1983. Still family-owned, now run by the founder's sons, with around 1,100 people and a US office in Fairborn, Ohio.
The range is wide. Photoelectric alone runs close to a thousand models, and there is ultrasonic, inductive, fluid, safety, and RFID on top of that. Most of it speaks IO-Link, so one tool and one cable standard cover the whole machine.
Bravo carries the line. Tell us the target, the distance, and how dirty the spot is, and we'll narrow a few thousand part numbers down to the two worth testing.
Core Capabilities
IO-Link nearly everywhere
Distance, switching, pressure, safety, RFID. The same wiring and the same parameter tool across the range, so a sensor swap is a config file, not a rewire.
Built for wash-down
IP69K and stainless WashDown and Hygiene versions across photoelectric, inductive, and fluid. Made for food and pharma lines that get hosed down every shift.
Free setup software
wTeach2, the weCon phone app, an IO-Link device tool, and a flow calculator. Eight of the nine tools are freeware.
One catalog, one call
Sensors, safety, and RFID from one maker instead of three. Fewer part numbers to stock, and one place to ask when something will not switch.
