Fluid Sensors

Pressure, flow, temperature, and level for liquids and gases in closed systems. Most of it is the weFlux² family with IO-Link, with hygienic versions for food, dairy, and pharma lines.

Fill-Level Sensors

LevelTech fill-level sensors check whether a medium is present at a set point in a tank. The electrode at the sensor tip forms a capacitor with its surroundings, and the sensor reads the resonance frequency (frequency sweep), so it can tell liquids, foam, pastes and granules apart.

Key Specifications:

  • Media: liquids, pastes, sticky media, granules
  • Medium temp: -40 to +115 °C
  • Pressure rating: 10 or 100 bar
  • Connections: G ½", hygienic G ½", ½" NPT
  • IO-Link; EHEDG on some versions
Applications: Overflow protection on tanks, Dry-running protection for pumps, Telling foam and barrier layers apart from product in food processing, Min/max level control in pressure vessels in fragrance production

Flow Sensors

Flow sensors use the calorimetric principle: the passing medium cools a heated probe, and the sensor works out flow velocity from the temperature difference. Because the measuring element is symmetrical, the sensor can be mounted in either flow direction.

Key Specifications:

  • weFlux²: up to 400 cm/s, ±2%, IO-Link
  • UniFlow: water 10 to 300 cm/s, oil 15 to 100 cm/s
  • Also reads temperature: -25 to +150 °C
  • Connections: G ¼", G ½", clamp, Varivent
Applications: Cooling-water monitoring on welding guns, Generator cooling circuits, Cooling-water and flow-deviation monitoring in packaging machines, Coolant flow in automotive production equipment

Pressure Sensors

Pressure sensors with a built-in analysis module measure liquid and gas pressure in hydraulics, pneumatics and process technology. Pressure deforms a membrane, resistors pick up the deformation, and the weFlux² series also reads temperature at the same time.

Key Specifications:

  • weFlux²: -1 to +400 bar, ±0.5%, IO-Link
  • UniBar: -1 to 600 bar
  • Medium temp: -40 to +125 °C
  • 316L or ceramic wetted parts; FDA versions
Applications: Monitoring CIP cleaning-agent lines, Crate washing systems, Die casting of engine blocks, Vacuum and overpressure checks in glass bottle production

Temperature Sensors

Temperature sensors measure liquids and gases in closed piping systems. A change in medium temperature changes the sensor's resistance, which the sensor reads as a temperature value. They come as PT100/PT1000 resistors or as transmitters with analog and digital outputs.

Key Specifications:

  • IO-Link transmitters: -50 to +150 °C
  • PT100/PT1000: -50 to +200 °C
  • Accuracy: ±0.5 °C, 316L housing
  • Connections: clamp, Varivent, G ½"; EHEDG options
Applications: Swimming pool water temperature, Milk collection tanks in dairies, including sterile cleaning up to 150 °C, Keeping processed cheese filling lines above 80 °C, Medium temperature control in electronics production
